Different Types of Travertine Finishes

Many people looking to install travertine in their homes do not realize the different types of finishes it can come in.

Polished is smooth and has a shine finish. This is the most common finish in commercial applications.

Honed is flat, satiny and has a low shine matte finish. This is the most common finish in home applications.

Brushed has a somewhat of a rough texture and a matte finish.

Saw Cut is flat and has a matte finish.

Tumbled a highly textured finished with worn edges. This is the most natural finish.  This is the most common finish for outdoor areas.
