Natural Marble

Marble is a soft stone. This is great underfoot, but it can lead to discoloration. If you seal your marble every year it can limit the risk of staining. For some homeowners this may be to much upkeep, but others don’t mind the maintenance for the luxurious look of the stone. Using a dark marble can conceal any discoloration that may accrue. An alternative to natural marble is marble-look porcelain tile. These tough stain-resistant tiles will mimic the look of marble. The porcelain tile will not require the annual maintenance that a marble floor will. Porcelain will also be kinder on your pocketbook.
